I grew up around the kitchen table. It was where we ate, laughed, argued, cried. Where stories were shared and silences held more than words. That table holds some of my fondest memories — and some of my hardest.
Home, for me, was both a place of love and belonging, and a place where emotional safety didn’t always feel guaranteed. It’s where I first learned who I needed to be to feel accepted. Where I showed up — and also where I started to hide the parts of me I thought might not be loved.
Childhood has a way of shaping who we are, while bending the truth of who we really are. And as we grow, it can be hard to find our way back to that truth. Some of those hidden parts still find it hard to be seen, even now.
But this work — my work — is about coming back to the table. Creating new spaces where women can show up as their whole selves, no masks. Just honesty, connection, and the courage to be seen.
